Baton Rouge General Practice Law Firm
The Baringer Law Firm, L.L.C. derives its origin from the former law firm of Schaneville & Baringer, which was founded in 1981 and provided quality legal services through various iterations of that firm for 25 years, until January of 2005, at which time the firm name was changed to The Baringer Law Firm, L.L.C.
In November of 2012, James S. Holiday, Jr. and his entire staff at The Law Offices of James S. Holliday, Jr., APLC, joined The Baringer Law Firm, L.L.C., in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mr. Holliday, who joined the firm as Of Counsel, has been a prominent member of the Louisiana State Bar Association for over 47 years and is a recognized author of scholarly authoritative legal works including Louisiana Corporations and Louisiana Construction Law, which are published annually by West Publishing Co. as a part of its Louisiana Practice Series.
Effective in 2013, Dale Baringer became a co-author with Mr. Holliday and others of their scholarly works.
In announcing the consolidation of their law firms, James S. Holliday, Jr. and Dale R. Baringer stated that, with over 47 years and 32 years, respectively, in the practice of law, their practices were, with the exception of tax law, near mirror images of one another. Thus, they stated that the two firms were a natural fit for combination into a single law firm. Through this combination of their practices, the clients of both firms benefit from the additional expertise and experience of the other. Our attorneys thus have the knowledge and skill to resolve even the most complex legal issues facing businesses and individuals.
We provide quality legal services to clients throughout Louisiana and across the United States. Maintaining the highest ethical standards, we have earned the respect of our peers in the profession. One of the largest law firms in Louisiana is included among our clients.
